A lovely brass item: three tiered ornate end table or jardiniere (plant stand). The cast brass filigree work on tiers and legs makes this quite the showpiece. Has been referrred to as an Austrian table. The stand comes apart by unscrewing the fancy knobs makes it easy for shipping or moving. This item has patina!
Good day, I was wondering if anyone could tell me about this Nishi Doll. I would like to know about how old it is and how much it is worth. The only thing I know about it, is that my sister bought it at a yard sale last year. It is 18" high, stands on a square wooden platform, has the name "Snowqueen" on it. Here a are few pics and I can get more if needed.
The other day, I bought a nice set of 4 cups and saucers, but I don't know anything about them (please see attached photos). I'm really hoping you'll help me learn something about this set! I found many 'Made in Japan' markings pictured on the Internet, but none that match the one on the underside of these.
Here are my questions:
What time frame is it from -- '50s?
What's the pattern name?
Who manufactured it?
What sort of bird and tree is depicted?
Is the design hand painted?
Is the set noteworthy in any way?
I'm excited to find out whatever I can about this teacup and saucer set! Please feel free to share this message with anyone you believe can help. Thank you!
