I don't know its purpose, but I inherited it from my grandmother. It has been in the family since it was cast. It has a round bowl set on top of a plain pedestal base. A "B" for the family name is stamped on the bowl.
it is a black cast iron engine it has the #302 in big numbers and the letters AC "small"under the numbers,it is 8 and a half inces long and 2.2 inches wide,it weighs 2 and a quarter pounds,original paint it has 4 wheels on the motor part but the bars to make them turn are gone,patent # on motor is 2525288 246L664 25209L6 the number inside the engine cover is PA11098,there were no other parts found for the train,were not sure if it is a steam engine or not,it has a hole in the smoke stack,the wheels are also cast iron with a white ring on the wheel,we don't know the age or location it came from or the artist name,not sure if it runs or not we don't have a way to hook it up,this is all we know about it maby you can help with some information.
This was found in a box bought at an Estate sale 10 years ago. The Estate was for and edlerly couple that had a history of extensive travel all over the world. It seems to be made of lava rock. The head is oversized and the face is sunken in, the back of the head is extended out. The ears are carved out, the eyes are sunken in with pupils. I have been unable to find anything that looks like it and I don't know what country or culture it is from.
I want you to appraise this accordeon if you have some info about it. I searched it in internet but found nothing. If no one wants to buy it, maybe I can give it to some museum.
It is a Jennings Brothers setter figurine cast of white metal or spelter. On the under-belly of the dog it has "JB 2591." The lower legs and neck appear to be attached by some sort of 'welding/soldering?. Very fine details.
