This is the bottom portion of a huge chandelier which was hanging in a church when my paernts first saw it. She purchased it but had the bottom wired for electricity (it was candlelit). The work was done in Italy and the chandelier was shipped in multiple cartons and had to be reassembled here in the US. It is exquisite, mint condition, 100+ years old, is a conversation peice and shines beautifully. Very elegant setting needed.
Beautiful decanter, says garnier Enghien-france on front bottom and on front top it says creme de menthe on bottom it has trademark Garnier Liquours Enghien porto france Made in Italy -n 389(?) could be 380 or similar
Silver tray, pitcher and cup set. All numbered 420, Rockford Silver P Co. Quadruple.
I don't know how to judge it's condition, the tray is slightly warped with some small scratches. The pitcher has one small, shallow dent. The cup's lip is slightly out of round. Unpolished.
I would like to know if anyone can identify or possibly appraise this desk (or is it a vanity? It has a beveled mirror)
The fold down panel (above bottom drawer) has a lock that is jammed, (didn't want to ruin it by breaking in)
I remember seeing it in my Grandma's (1895-1976) house as kid in the 60's near her entry way when the panel use to open, inside the fold down panel, there are several shelves and small cubbies. She had her wedding photos, veil, ring pillow, invitiations, even garter! (woohoo!) etc, on the shelves. I'm sure the articles were removed before it was locked, there is a skeleton key that opens the bottom drawer, but the panel lock will not disengage enough to open the panel. :(
Features: Beveled glass mirror, slide out drawer, shelves and cubbies behind fold down front panel, nice antique!
