White Onyx Goblet

Category
Jewelry and Gemstones
Condition
Good
Description

This is a white onyx wine goblet.

I suspect it is made of what is called white onyx/onyx marble/calcite onyx, likely from Pakistan.

Probably vintage, from 1970s-2000s.

Heavy, 474 gr. There is a very small chip on the edge, see pic.

The bottom is 2.75'' in diameter, the upper part is 2.3''. 7.6'' tall.

Holds liquids, no cracks or other issues.

I found one similar shape goblet on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/126596122919

Not sure if they priced it correctly.

Drop down desk

Category
Furniture
Condition
Good
Description

I purchased this piece about 11 years ago at an antique show. After going back to look at it 4 times that day, I finally purchased it. The person I bought it from thought it was “an English piece” but had no other knowledge. I was curious as to whether or not anyone could tell me anything about this piece and what it is worth. The only marking I found on it was on the back (picture attached). It has some surface scratches on it but nothing that couldn’t be repaired. It is made of oak. Thank you for any help anyone can give me.
