I have an advertisement for the Met Opera's "Aida". What is unique about it is that it is painted on glass rather than the traditional print poster. It announces Edward Johnson as General Manager and says that admission is $.30. Very interesting, also says tha tit uses Kimball pianos exclusively. Again, am at work so I don't remember too much about it...
Purchased in Cyprus in the summer of 1982 at the end of my peacekeeping tour. It comes in a red/gold box that has a little wear. The bottle itself is green frosted glass with a gold label and is stamped "DUTY FREE".  The bottom of the bottle is stamped 0,7L, M A   0   2(followed by 7 raised dots) and finally a double box with the letters SG inside it. The rear label is in French and is stamped " Sole Agents and Distributors for Cyprus OTHON GHALANOS & SON LTD. I have the original Canada Customs paperwork. I have kept it in cool dry places all this time.
Item is advertising an aeronautics/balloon lecture by Lt. G.B. Gale put on by the Scientific and Literary Institute in England. I am at work, so I don't have much more info now on it. It is advertising for the lecture in 1850 and is solid wood. Appears item was nailed to wall at top.
Will provide photos when available.
This piece of furniture was given to me and because of the very good condition it is in I was just interested in finding out it's value. The Desk is a flat top has 3 drawers on the left and 1 in the front. There are 2 short legs on the left side and 2 long ones on the right side. The wood color is a dark orangish color the top of the desk had a drownish color.
