I have a set for 12. Plates, soup,coffee cups/saucers, bread dish, coffee carafe, serving bowls, butter, gravy, etc. Each piece is quite weighty. I attached pics just in case I am wrong on the pattern name.

Only one thing I can see with this item is on the back side where a piece was attached has come updone. Your see in one of the photos. Other than that this piece looks great. There is like a cylinder in the front large enough to hold a pen. Can you tell me what this piece actually was. On the back is stamped Meriden B Company, Quadruple Plate 286 U.S.A.
Beautifully detailed inlay wood design. See photo. Stamped and signed on the bottom.Has all the hardware except for the key and lock. As you see, I couldn't figure out the signature stamped on both sides of the bottom of the box. It is very similar to an important box appraised on Antique Road Show several years ago. I have owned it for 30 plus years and wanted to know more about it.
