This is an antique wooden mirror with a raised floral scroll effect. The antique photograph (which is painted on and signed by the artist) was discovered in back of the mirror recently. The photograph is on a material similar to matboard. There is an artist's signature on the photograph. It says G.A. and we cannot make out the last name..
The size of the mirror's outer perimeter is approximately 12 1/2 inches x 14 1/2 inches. The mirror itself is in good condition though when taking photographs the shiny mirror part did not show up. We have had this mirror for a number of years and it is one of the last pieces that were a part of a huge load of antiques that we purchased in northern Arizona. It was previously owned by a pianist who had a number of auction pieces.
The boxes all fit together nicely and the paint is in great shape. No chips, cracks or crazing are seen. Origional "blemishes" are noticable on the inside of the boxes. The "browning" that is visable on the bottom piece is commom on the inside edges of the boxes.
While at a local charity shop, I found a small silver sauce boat. From the Marks, it looks to be from 1925, .925 silver, made in Birmingham by Charles S. Green and Co.See Pictures below. I am looking for an appraisal, but can't find one in my local area . Can you advise it's value? Sincerely.Laurel Avery-Dewitt
The painting is in a gold scrolled frame and then framed under glass. It appears to have been framed by Frederick Loeser & Company and on the back of the glass frame in the left hand corner in script is written "Afternoon Tea" It shows several people drinking tea in Victorian clothing. Lots of lovely detail.
I don't know much about the clock......It belonged to my mother who is sick and can't remember any of the specifics about the model or what she paid for it. If anyone happens to know the model name and approximate value I would certainly appreciate it.
