I don't really know anything about this. It belonged to my Granny. I am trying to find out what it is worth. On the tag it says: Made in Italy W P L 13379 42% Rayon 37% Waste Cotton 21% Cotton
<p>This Budda head was rescued in Saigon,after a bombing during the Vietnam war.It among several other items were in my Uncles estate which was left to me.Among the other items are several ( God's)'All these items are brass ,I'm not sure about the Budda head.</p>
This has been in our family since the 1950s. I was once told this sterling silver butter box was made in Germany in the 1800s but that's pretty much all I know. It's dimensions are about 5 inches by 7 inches and roughly 6 inches tall. I'd love to have more info and an approx. value.
8 inches tall, heavy, the figure is welded to the bottom plate. I don't know the exact metal, but I'd like to know if it is bronze or brass. It looks like an artifact therefore I attached photos for further observing. There aren't any signature markings on it. There was a price on the figure in pounds so it must be from the UK.
