Ancient Roman Woman's Ring

Category
Jewelry and Gemstones
Condition
Good
Description

This is an ancient Roman ring from the year 313, which would put it at being 1700 years old. It was found in the Holy Land region, with ancient Roman coins and artifacts. It has an extremely dark, almost black patina with some light brown incrustations. It looks like it might either have had a stone pried off the front of it, or perhaps there is the image of a face on it.The inner band is heavily incrusted, as seen in the second picture. That incrustation is brown as well; not sure what the mineral incrustations are, other than being a lighter shade of brown than the rest of the ring. While it is probably not possible to determine who wore this little ring, I would love to have whatever history might be available about it and possibly a rough idea of what it might be worth. I am not going to sell it at all, but the more information that can be found about it, the better.

Ancient Roman Ring With Green Glass Stone

Category

Good
Description

This is an ancient Roman ring that came from the year 500 or 600. I believe the metal is bronze and the stone is not blue; it is actually an extremely deep green, the same color as an emerald. I think it is a glass stone, but I am not sure about that. While I am not selling this ring, I would love to see whatever information that may be available about it: a more accurate year, how much it may be worth, whatever history that can be found about it.

Bronze Roman Men Ring

I am not interested in selling this ring at all.

Though an approximate price would be nice so I know what it's worth, that is not as important to me as getting any and all possible information about the ring's history. Such as what year it might have been made in and (as unlikely as it is) who might have worn it. The design looks like what Roman soldiers wore, but I cannot say for certain.

It was found in the Holy Land area and was among Roman coins and artifacts.

Interesting Ancient Roman Ring

Category
Jewelry and Gemstones
Condition
Good
Description

First of all, I am looking for an appraisal for my own personal information. I love old Roman jewelry and I am not going to sell this ring or the others that I have. I am a seeker of knowledge and would absolutely love to know what information there is to be had about this ring.

What I'd like to know about it is roughly what year it might have been made in. It is suppose to be a man's Roman engagement ring from either the 3rd or 4th century and it was found in the Holy Land region, with other Roman artifacts.

The entire band does have a very nice, heavy, black patina. Patina does not rub/wear off whatsoever, which I take to be a very good sign.

Ancient Roman Signet Ring

First of all, I am looking for an appraisal for my own personal information. I love old Roman jewelry and I am not going to sell this ring or the others that I have. I am a seeker of knowledge and would absolutely love to know what information there is to be had about this ring.

What I know about it is that the person I bought it from says it is a zoomorphic signet ring from between the 1st and 3rd centuries. It is a size 7.5 and is made of bronze. It has an extremely nice, rather thick, dark green patina.

The symbol looks like a bird to me, but I may not be correct in this thought.
