A Georgian solid silver caddy spoon hallmarked anchor for Birmingham, lion, monarchs head, k for 1808 and maker JW for Joseph Wilmore. It measures 8.2cm in length and is in decent condition with a little dimpling to the bowl and a kink to the handle. A fully hallmarked solid silver caddy spoon, a good addition for someones collection.
my mother was taken with her family by the Japanese and put in a Japanese Camp when she was only a little girl, supposedly these plates were one of the few things to survive the camp,I would like to know if there is anyone that can tell me if indeed these plates are Japanes by origin and if so where did they come from? Who made these plates? When were these plates made?
Neither my mother or Grandmother nor Grandfather is alive today and while they still were no one dared to ask them about these plates? I do hope that there's someone out there who can tell me the origin of these plates for I have allways treasured them while no one else in our family did......
