according to my father, this painting was brought over by my dads dads(grandpa) dad,(great grandpa) from Germany (moved here in 1950) the painting is very bumpy (you can feel the strokes) the frame is very heavy (frame came with it from Germany) based on my art skills it is an oil painting, but i could be wrong as it is very old. even just a name of the artist will do, i just want to figure out more information about the painting artist and value, not to sell, we are just curious
The sculpture is the heritage from my great grandfather and it has been in my family for 100 years. It was found in the village called Mala Plana in south Serbia.
3 piece set includes teapot, sugar and creamer. Has mark on bottom. Closest I can find to this symbol is Ackerman and Fritze, but the set might just be a cheap copy. Bought at estate sale. Many items in the house were very old, so took a chance that this was too. Looking for someone to identify or point me in the right direction to find out who made this and how much it might be worth. Thank you.
