Canvas is in great shape, doesnt look like its been restored. Frame is nicely aged goldish. The frame liner has a gold plaque that reads "CARUGATI" on it. There is a small tag on the back (see picture) that has been slightly crumpled with age. Don't know much else about it. Looking to resell it, or put it in an auction. Never done it before but if its worth something I am willing to.
The doll has beautiful characters and drawings in gold along the robes of the clothing. Whether or not this is real gold, I am unsure. I have read online that some of these dolls have real gold painted on the clothing. The doll and its clothes are all ceramic or porcelain, from my best assumption. He is holding a wooden staff/sword. Vintage bok authored by Nathaniel Hawthorne. Book is titled, "A Wonder Book for Girls & Boys. Book is in excellent condition. Very neat item to have for displaying.
