The sign is approximately 1 inch thick. It also has a wooden frame in behind it which looks like it was added for stregnth. Unforsure on if the frame is original. This sign is a 1 sided sign 33 inches wide and 56 inches tall. Im looking for any information it.
I received this piece in 1969. My mother bought it at an estate sale, it was in a box of items she purchased for $1. It has a repair on the top rim, a pie shaped piece that was broken out and glued back in. There is also a small chip out of the very top "coffee bean" on the lid. I can hardly see the potter's mark, but it's green and seems to be an oval with "sun rays" coming off of it. There is some kind of writing under the sun, but I cannot see it clearly. I'm not sure if the lid is the original, as it does not match perfectly. Can anyone tell me about this piece and if it has any value?
Here are two pictures of the front and back. The first picture won't flip and should say "Weinbrand Jacobi." The second picture, you can't see all the words so I'll explain it. There is an oval that says GERMANY under it. Inside the oval at the top is a crown. Under it is a shape looking like the shape of a police bag and has a "CM" in it. There is an "18" before the badge shape and a "14" after it, meaning from 1814. Under that in italicized lettering, it says "Hutschenreuther" and under that "HOHENBERG."
I found it at a flea market and I noticed it was different than another Jacobi ash tray there so wondering if this one is real and worth anything. I paid $5 for it. I did research on german ebay and it seemed to be going for 2.5k....not sure if that's right at all, but need to know! I got both ashtrays, the other one is the bottom 2 pictures. The bottom one front says "Weinbrand Jacobi,1880' Stuttgart and the back says "Thomas" on top, under is a symbol that looks like a heavyweight champion wrestling belt that also says "Thomas." Under, it says "Marktredwitz-Germany." HELP!
Looks to e a Teapot, a Coffepot, possibly a creamer and sugar container or gravy bowl. 4 peices total all matching. 3 of the pieces have spouts and handles. Two of the large containers have the Sphynx finial on top and deer head and legs for feet on all four pieces. Engraved with floral and square in middle. Most of the stamps are missing, only one had part of the makers stamp.
