This 19th-century rope bed is made of maple in the Federal/Cannonball style. It was purchased in Ann Arbor, Michigan and was appraised in the 1980's for $1,000.00. It has its original bolts but brackets have been attached to accommodate a modern mattress. It is in good condition with some nicks on the beam below the headboard and a subtle wood-stain drip mark on the back of the headboard.
I bought it at a thrift store and am not sure if it is an authentic F B Rogers piece. I know the insert is not original. May even sell it but not sure yet
