Purchased just a week ago at a auction in Houston Texas. I do not believe the auction knew much about this vase since it had no detailed descriptions for it. I tried to research the markings and looks to be from the Qing period.
This is a hand painted (with raised up paint) oriental vase. Not sure if chinese or japanese. It has a symbol/signature on the bottom of vase. scalloped rim. and dragon? handles.
Noritake small plate. Center section appears to be white porcelain, outer band is ivory. The outer band has raised gold floral motif, single ring of gold dots. Just before the rim there are concentric rings in gold and there is gold edging. Would love to know the name of the pattern.
Intricate detail on mane, teeth, feet, toenails, tongue, eyes, everything.
It's in very good condition. Has 3 feet. Pretty sure the top didn't come with the base, but the top should look OK.
