I dont know anything about the mirror . It belonged to my late father and was found clearing his house out. I have also uploaded a photo of a second mirror that was the same situation that i would like to know something about
I have an antique hand crafted and carved seatee. It has a padded seat that has hand made springs under it and the wood does not show any nails or screws.
I have a hand carved secretarial desk, It has a drop front and is in great shape. I believe the markings are hand carved and from the orient. The desk was given to my grandmother back during the war when my grandfather returned from over seas.
Prior to retiring my mother was a wedding planner/marketer in Tokyo, Japan. On one of her visits home she brought back a traditional wedding Kimono. I was told the gold stitching is actually gold thread and that it is in fact quite valuable; I was also given a price at this time. I'm looking for a reputable appraiser for a specific valuation to ensure both parties(buyer/seller) know the actual value, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
The weight of the kimono is 8.4lbs, and as you can see the patterns and design are very intricate and there is quite a bit of gold stitching.
Unfortuately the pictures I took to post are too large 3-5MB each. Please email [email protected] if you are interested in seeing high resolution pictures. My apologies for the not so good cell phone pics, I really have no other option, they do the kimono no justice either.
I have no clue of the age of this dining set. It was given to me from my parents and they got it from an elderly couple who ar no longer living to tell us more about it.
Maybe my pictures will help you, help me.
I have looked everywhere on the chairs, table, buffet and cabinet for a sticker or anything else that could help me but found absolutely nothing.
Received this from an Illinois Air National Guard warehouse while I was in the Marines. Top unscrews. Stencil is fading, states bomb training, light surface rust. Guessing Vietnam era since local unit hasn t been a bombing squadron in quite some time.
