It is a wooden box with a terra orbis world atlas on 5 sides of it. The bottom looks like it may at one time had legs on the bottom that were glued on. The top has four holes in it - one on each corner.
Hi, This print was given to me by my grandpa 37 years ago just before he passed away in 1975. He was 86 years old and he had told me that he learned to count on this picture when he was 4 or 5. He had no idea where his family got it from or how long they had had it but he remembers always seeing it in their home. It is in fair condition. It had a wrinkle in it that was smoothed out and is tatered around on edge. It has been in the frame it is in for as long as I can remember and I am 61. I have a picture to send you although it is not a great picture it will give you an idea of what it is. Thankyou for you time. Elaine Gartner.
These are vintage badges and brevets that my father collected during his time in Special Forces. I have a general idea as to some of their origins, but many of them I simply cannot find any info on. Any ideas on origin/value would be appreciated!
This Buffet Table was left in our basement when we purchased our home last year. We have looked for a manufacturers stamp inside the drawers/cabinets as well as the back, but there is nothing there. I am guessing this piece is from the early to mid 1900's but would really appreciate any insight you could share with me. It is in excellent condition, just needs a simple dusting since it's been sitting for a very very long time. Everything opens/closes with ease and appears to be original. I am very sorry I do not have more information, I do not know the history of this piece as I did not personally know the previous owner.
Hello! I'm submitting this for a friend. It is a beautiful desk that was handed down from her parents. She doesn't know much about it, except that her dad said it was very old. The pictures I have are going to be the only real clues as to it's origin, as I'm unable to locate any writing on the piece except for the number G4472 stamped onto the right rear upright. it also has metal glides for the bottom of the drawers to slide on. There is a name stamped on the metal glides that starts with "Ap..." The back is solid wood and held on with screws.
