In cleaning out my parents' garage this weekend, we discovered an antique mantel. My father said it came out of an old home in Richmond's historic Church Hill in the 1940's - he believes it to have been made in the 1920's, but unsure exactly. I have attached 3 photos. The mantel is either a poplar or cherry wood piece, 5'x7' in dimension.
Pintail Decoy dated by Ed Snyder 8/19/79. Has a # written on masking tape 54-cd-0-2. I purchased in 1981 at a decoy show in Monterey Calif. Paper work was to be mailed to me but never recieved it. Suppose to be a show winner. It has been stored in a glass case in a dark room for 30years so is untouched.
This secretAry desk is I believe mahogany. Very heavy, scroll legs. I found one online that looks similar to this one. Labeled as "gothic"? Two drawers under the drop down part. Within the drop down compartment there are numerous slots and drawers. Lock works for drop down part.
