It is a scene in action lamp. There in some kind of rotating light in the base of the lamp. there are two fire scenes on the outside of the base and the light in motion on the inside makes the fire appeare in motion. On the bottom there is a copyright date of 1931. It also says "scene action corp." and the U.S. Paton # is 1369751 & 1761802. It has it original shade and everything works.
I am trying to date this tea pot- Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
It has matching markings on the handle, base & on the inner lid. I can clearly see the lion ( mark of sterling silver). The maker initials are RP- note it is just RP with no period between the letters. The next mark looks like the shield marking for London. the next mark is of a king who appears to be facing left. The date marking is a K-We have been researching markings and the style of the K appears to match either 1745 or early 1825. Has any one seen a similar tea pot. Does any one ventrure to say what it is worth? Any thoughts would be most appreciated.
----There is one dent on the outer handle
Thanks, Stacey
