I've tried to give as much info as I can on this crate. I was hoping someone more knowledgeable in WWII equipment would have more specific information on how this was used and how much it might be worth. Thank you for helping.
Highly engraved water jug, with a figure head of a lady atop of the upswept pouring handle. The lid has a high knob, surrounded by 4 circular knobs, and one further one on top. The jug has ornate fine engraving around the main jug itself. Highly ornate in its design. The jug has not been cleaned, since I've owned it,but stored in a dark cupboard for years. I have just recently put it on display,in our new large china cabinet.
Painting itself is in good condition but the frame looks a little beat up. I bought this at an antique shop for 10.00. I would like to know it's value, for possible sale, not sure if I would like to part with it though.
